What is Zenmuse H20 Series
-
The Zenmuse H20 Series is DJI’s “hybrid multisensor” payload for enterprise drones (notably compatible with Matrice 300 RTK and similar platforms).
-
It aims to give operators everything in one payload — wide-angle, zoom, thermal (on H20T), and laser range‑finding — which means less need to swap cameras and more flexibility per mission.
The series includes (at least) two variants:
-
H20 — triple‑sensor version: wide + zoom + laser rangefinder.
-
H20T — quad‑sensor version: wide + zoom + thermal + laser rangefinder.
Sensors & Key Specifications
From the official specs:
Camera & Sensors
-
Wide‑angle camera: 12 MP, 82.9° field‑of‑view (FOV), ideal for general aerial context.
-
Zoom camera: 20 MP, 1/1.7″ CMOS, with 23× hybrid optical zoom (focal length equivalent ~31.7 – 556.2 mm), and up to 200× max zoom under certain conditions. Supports shutter speeds 1/1 – 1/8000s, ISO 100–25600 — useful from close‑up to long‑range inspection.
-
Thermal camera (only on H20T): 640×512 px radiometric thermal sensor, with frame rate 30 Hz, lens DFOV ~40.6°, lens aperture f/1.0 — useful for detecting heat signatures, temperature anomalies, night‑time operations.
-
Laser Rangefinder (LRF): Measures distances from 3 m up to 1200 m, with reasonable accuracy — helpful for surveying, inspections, mapping, or any task needing distance measurement from air.
